How are your goods different from the ones made in the US?
Our goods are proudly handcrafted in India and we follow exact same saddle leather crafting techniques & methods as our fellow artisans do in the US.
We use same or in many cases higher quality standards of raw materials as we get leather, canvas, wax, copper rivets, brass hardware etc custom made according to our requirements and do not settle with whatever is available in the market ready made.
Another benefit of us being in India is not having so expensive hourly rates hence we do not cut corners on the quality of our craftsmanship. We go deep into the detailing and precision without having to worry about increasing the cost of the product too much.
-
What kind of leather and other materials do you use?
We only use 100% top grain buffalo leather which is the most premium quality selection from the lot, only 6-7% of hides are passed to be labeled as top grain leather.
The leather is tanned using semi vegetable tanning process and end result is durable, soft and smooth leather which ages beautifully and develops a beautiful patina over time.
We hand finish our leathers using natural dyes, oils and waxes. This process increase the age of leather, makes it water repellent and gives a beautiful two tone vintage and rustic feel.
We use 100% brass custom forged hardware, custom made solid copper rivets and set them by hands. Thick cotton canvas made to order and hand waxed with bees wax and natural oils.

Do you sell Internationally?
Hell Yeah. Not just we sell internationally but 91% of our sales are international. Its almost 65% USA, 18% Europe, 8% Canada and 9% rest of the world.
-
I like the product but I am a bit hesitant in ordering from abroad.
Don’t be, crafting leather goods is our oxygen. There is nothing in the world that gets us as high as having a happy and a satisfied customer.
Cross border commerce and international shipping is as simple as buying form your home country. In fact according to the data 1 out of every 4 online purchases were cross border in 2018 and will continue grow in future.
Getting your product delivered till your doorsteps is our responsibility and we are teamed up with DHL, FedEx and Aramex to make that happen. We have a strong hand in this so don’t worry.
-
How long will my bag last?
A lifetime. With the kind of materials we use and our techniques of craftsmanship the product is literally indestructible. Its truly a heirloom product if kept with care and hence will last for generations.
There are no metal parts which can rust (brass and copper don’t rust), very thick leather which is hard to tear and a threads made of combination of 6 threads twisted together to make one thick thread. Copper rivets which were originally used for making army tents. With these kinds of materials and craftsmanship, expect these bags to be around for a long time.
-
How do I know these products are handcrafted in small batches, not bulk manufactured in a factory?
We are artisans and not laborers. Each bag is crafted by a single artisan from start till the end. The name of the artisan is tagged inside each bag. Where as in bulk production one laborer only knows how to do just one job, either just pasting or cutting or finishing, usually a task which can be taught in a day or two whereas it can take 1-2 decades to become an artisan.
-
What is the difference between artisan made goods and bulk produced goods?
Its very similar to having a meal prepared by a chef in his own restaurant or ordering from a fast food burger joint. Just like any chef an artisan would care what raw material goes into the bag, how the goods are crafted and the way they are presented should satisfy the mental, physical and spiritual level of the end consumer. The whole experience is a result of lifelong passion and refining our craft.
Where as the main aim of bulk produced items are just volumes, economy of sales and profits. They lack passion, precision and are usually outsourced from a factory who don’t really care much about the quality.

How come your products are so high quality and still affordable?
We are a direct to consumer brand and there are no middleman keeping the margins in between and we simply pass on that benefit to the customers.
